Electric Picnic Live Review - The Rubberbandits
Hysterical set from the Limerick duo in front of a packed-out comedy tent.
Electric Picnic’s comedy tent was full of gently giggling revellers, all sitting on the floor, until Willie O’ DJ, a topless Mr. Chrome and Blindboy Boatrace appeared onstage.
After an enthusiastic and sarcastic “Hello Dublin!” from Mr. Chrome, The Rubberbandits launched into a set that started with ‘I Like To Shift Girls’ and skipped through a side-splitting set of songs about spoiling children, fighting at mass and your Dad’s dodgiest mate.
Even Gabriel Byrne (the Bandits’ puppet version) made a cameo during the show.

The highlight of the night was their breakthrough hit single ‘Horse Outside,’ or as Blindboy introduced it; “The song your auntie likes from YouTube.”
