The Last Shadow Puppets co-frontman was as electrifying as ever.
After delighting our Hot Press Chatroom audience, Miles Kane was next up inside the Electric Arena - and his riotous, guitar-heavy sound had no problem filling the tent.
Dripping plenty of Northern English swagger and as much effortless cool as his former Last Shadows Puppets partner-in-crime Alex Turner. Proving he's as much a star in his own right as he is in his group work, Miles packed a fearless rock approach that's best enjoyed live and loud.
Blending punk, Britpop, surf and garage rock, the diehard Liverpool fan's snarling vocals led his adoring crowd through his colourful discography - with an emphasis on his latest album, the stunning Coup De Grace. When he wasn't letting loose and rocking hard, the keys introduced a brighter dimension to Miles' sound, which was further developed by layered melodies and screeching guitars straight out of the '60s.

Winning over the sceptics, this was British rock as it's supposed to be served - loud and brave, with fearlessly direct and unexpectedly moving melodies.
