Decked out in neon pants, a sheer zebra almost-crop top, and rainbow socks, Years&Years frontman Olly Alexander was a true vision. No really, he looked freakin' great. And their drummer looked pretty cool too in her tartan pants and silver sequinned tshirt.
From the moment Alexander set foot on stage, he was the coolest person in all of Stradbally. And - I'll dare to say it - quite likely the happiest. A smile was never absent from his face and that joy was infectious. Even the people that didn't know a single word were grinning ear-to-ear and dancing along.
Opening with their 2018 hit, 'Sanctify', the band proved they were ready to party. Alexander dropped it like it was hot and danced from the first note to the last. His smile defied the laws of mankind and grew even bigger as he locked eyes with the crowd.
"I love all your beautiful smiling faces!" he exclaimed - with a laugh, of course.

At one point, the band pulled out a massive red keytar and the two backup singers joined him at the top of the stairs centre stage behind their frontman. The juxtaposition of the squad up top, swaying side-to-side gospel choir style while Alexander contorted his body in the name of dance was brilliant. Another excellent set atop the Main Stage!
