Electric Picnic's ArtLot share programme details and line-up

For it's 10th anniversary programme, ArtLot organisers have announced a gleaming line-up of emerging Irish talent, including Gemma Cox, Euan Hart, Kyla Belle, Bees and Sawdust, Georgia G and more.

Years ago on an unassuming corner of Dublin city, ArtLot, a run-down and dilapidated site, stood firm as an open-air public exhibition space inspiring and entertaining passers-by with its monthly programme of visual art and performance.

When the hotel developers saw the space as prime real estate, Electric Picnic salvaged ArtLot and artists were granted a permanent home deep in the forest of Stradbally Hall as the festival's alternative visual arts and performance space.

Ten years on, the ArtLot stage has just revealed details of their 10th anniversary programme with a line-up of emerging Irish talent, including Fancy Dan, Calum Agnew, Joe Maxi, Taylor Byrne, Kellie Lewis, Harry Fennel, Weather Underground, Graham Sweeney, Bees and Sawdust, Georgia G, Euan Hart, Kope, Kyla Belle and Gemma Cox.

ArtLot's nighttime programme will showcase performances from Granny Gaff's resident DJ Sharpson, Jamie Ennis, Bob Manzanilla, Arise DJs, CNC and R3D's House. The underground LGBTQ+ night Rathaus will host a major party to close out the festival on Sunday night.

ArtLot will keep up its celebration of visual creativity, with festival-goers able to enjoy artworks by renowned muralist Kevin Bohan, flying JellyFish installations by Limerick-based textile artist Rachel Maloney and newly commissioned sculptures by artist Rosaleen Dunne. Lauded painter Carl Hickey will set up a pop-up studio in the woods for live painting sessions throughout the weekend. The festival will also feature spoken word performances from poet and disability advocate Philip Kenny and captivating pop-up acts by Wolfpack Circus. Additionally, a major collaboration with arts organisation Alternative Dublin will offer EP attendees free painting lessons and after-dark UV painting parties.

ArtLot is home to beloved festival art installations such as Granny's House, the immersive installation that transports visitors back to the 1980s, and Amy's Wine House, a derelict hang-out space that pays tribute to fallen icons.

Art Lot is curated by John Kenny and Alan Mulhall of Dublin-based arts collective The Glow Depot, with music programming by Fluttertone.
