Eminem has announced his newest album set to release in 2024
Eminem has revealed that his twelfth studio album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce), is set to be released later this summer. The announcement was made through in a clip designed to look like a news story posted on social media and YouTube in Michigan, Detroit.
The announcement clip featured a reporter saying, "Through his complex and often-criticised, tongue-twisting rhymes, the blonde anti-hero known as Slim Shady has had no shortage of enemies."
In the clip, Eminem's rap peer, 50 Cent, commented, "He's not a friend, he’s a psychopath."
The video presented a man disguised behind a blurred face, who stated, "I knew it was just a matter of time for Slim." The figure was later revealed to be Eminem himself.

The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce) promises to mark a new era in Eminem's music. The rapper has a history of success with his previous albums, including his last release, Music to Be Murdered By, in 2020.
Fans expressed excitement on social media platforms immediately after announcing the album. One fan tweeted, "The best rapper is here to save us this year. I will be ok again, it just takes time." Another wrote, "That ending was funny. I forgot how funny Em can be sometimes."
Eminem has portrayed Slim Shady, his alter ego, since the late 90s. The character, known for his aggressive and controversial lyrics, has been a significant part of Eminem's music career.
The album is set to be released this summer, and the possibility of a tour has not yet been confirmed. Eminem has performed in Ireland five times, with his most notable show at Slane Castle in 2013.
