The new single serves as the first glance at rapper’s upcoming album The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce).
Slim Shady has made his return as rap legend Eminem shares his brand new single ‘Houdini’, the first track to be lifted off his upcoming record, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce).
The single comes paired with an exciting new music video rife with celebrity cameos, from Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg to Pete Davidson and more. A nostalgic recreation of his iconic ‘Without Me’ music video, the comic-inspired superhero throw-down sees the return of Eminem’s blonde-haired alter-ego Slim Shady.
Featuring several tracks produced by hip hop revolutionary Dr. Dre, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce) will mark Eminem’s first studio album since the surprise release of 202’s Music to be Murdered By. While the exact release date for the upcoming album has yet to be announced, the rapper has said that it will hit streaming platforms later this summer.
Eminem announced the album on social media last month with a faux true crime show about the death of his alter ego, which was later followed up by a published obituary in the Detroit Free Press.

“A product of Detroit who began his career there as a rogue splinter in the flourishing underground rap scene of the mid to late 1990s, Shady first became a household name in 1999 with the debut of his playfully deranged single ‘My Name Is,’ which — along with its uniquely eye catching video — exposed the young artist and his lyrics to a wider audience,” the fake obituary read. “Ultimately, the very things that seemed to be the tools he used became calling cards that defined an existence that could only come to a sudden and horrific end.”
