Catch her live-streamed performance tonight on the Hot Press Lockdown Sessions.
After technical difficulties last week, we're delighted to announce that acclaimed singer-songwriter Emma Langford is back on the Hot Press Lockdown Sessions tonight, April 6 – performing live on the Hot Press Instagram at 7:30pm!
Since being crowned 'Best Emerging Folk Artist' at the inaugural RTÉ Radio 1 Folk Awards in 2018, there's been no stopping the Limerick artist. Earlier this year, she shared the moving title track from her upcoming album, 'Sowing Acorns' – a collaboration with Belfast poet Vanessa Ifediora, with production from Grammy nominees Chris O'Brien and Graham Murphy.
Emma was also the recipient of the inaugural Dolores O'Riordan Bursary – presented to her back in December by Dolores' mother Eileen. Talking to Stuart Clark for the annual Hot Press Xmas Round Table, The Cranberries' Noel Hogan described Emma as "brilliant", and noted that "Dolores wold be so happy and proud that she's been an influence on the next generation of bands."
Throughout the Hot Press Lockdown Sessions, our star-studded line-up will be taking over the Hot Press Instagram account (@hotpressmagazine), and live-streaming performances from their homes around the world directly to your phone.
