Emotional Amputation
Transparent Sound have stuck at what they do best, namely making cinematic, emotive electro
UK electro duo Transparent Sound’s singles have impressed everyone from Colin Dale to Billy Nasty, who signed them to his Electrix imprint for an album.
Rather than head down the well worn ‘concept’ route on their debut long player, Transparent Sound have stuck at what they do best, namely making cinematic, emotive electro. There are a few deviations along the way, most notably their brilliant remake of Visage’s classic ‘Fade To Grey’, the Gary Numan influenced ‘Open Your Box’ and the tough metallic breaks sound on ‘Small Indignities’ and ‘Improbable You’, but it’s the haunting title track, the lush string led ‘Memory Baggage’ and the panoramic outro, ‘Gritty Glamour’, that sees Transparent Sound at their cinematic best.
