Lorely Rodriguez, known by her artist name Empress Of, has announced that on March 22 she will be releasing her new album entitled For Your Consideration through Giant Music.

This follows her third album entitled I’m Your Empress Of which was released in 2020. The Los Angeles based artist noted that the album would include her already released songs ‘Femenine’ and ‘Kiss Me’ featuring Rina Sawayama. As well as her newest release ‘What’s Love’ featuring Muna.

‘What’s Love’ which was released on January 24 will be the 11th track on For Your Consideration. ‘Kiss Me’ [ft. Rina Sawayama] will be number four and ‘Femenine’ wil be number 5 on the album.

Empress Of wrote the album across three different cities: Los Angeles, Miami and Montreal. She also worked with a myriad producers including Nick León, Billboard, Valley Girls, Cecile Believe, and Umru.

For Your Consideration will be a Spanish and English language album. “I was in love with a director and he was announcing his ‘For Your Consideration’ campaign for the Oscars,” Empress Of said. “He took me up on a hill and said he was emotionally unavailable and he kind of broke my heart. I went into the studio that day and we wrote a song called ‘For Your Consideration’ that reflects on glam and Hollywood. That was the gateway for the album and it gave me the opportunity to explore broader themes.”
