In 2024 the ESNS Exchange celebrates its 20th anniversary with a festival in Groningen, the Netherlands from 17 – 19 Jan.
The ESNS Exchange results for 2023 have been released, with Ireland’s The Mary Wallopers amongst the continent’s most booked acts.
The findings reflect popularity amongst a diverse group of artists with Belgium, Ireland, Austria, Sweden, The Netherlands, Ukraine, Norway, and Iceland all represented within the top 10 most booked artists.
The Haunted Youth from Belgium is the most booked artist with 13 bookings in total with The Mary Wallopers following closely behind in second place with 10.

The programme was established as ETEP in 2003 to overcome the significant challenges faced by the European pop music industry in international promotion and distribution.
Now known as ESNS Exchange, the project has facilitated, supported and promoted the global circulation of creative European musical talent.
Each year the group hosts a non-profit showcase festival for European artists, and a conference with panels, keynotes, interviews, and gatherings on the latest developments in the international and European music industry.
2023 saw the programme achieve 347 shows by 148 acts from 36 countries at 90 festivals in 15 countries.
In 2024 the ESNS Exchange celebrates its 20th anniversary with a festival in Groningen, the Netherlands from 17 – 19 Jan.
Chalk, Chubby Cat, CMAT, Conchúr White, Kingfishr, Le Boom and Sweetlemondae will be amongst the Irish representation at the event.
