Cain's debut album, 2022's Preacher's Daughter, is set for release on vinyl on April 4.
Ethel Cain has announced a new album, Willoughby Tucker, I Will Always Love You, set for release this August.
It will be the Florida singer-songwriter's second official studio album, following the release earlier this year of experimental project Perverts, which was billed as an EP despite running for almost 90 minutes.
Cain took to social media to share the news and unveil the album's cover art. "(B)efore everything, there was you. 1986, the year everything changed forever ♡" she wrote.
Fans have quickly recognised the name of Willoughby Tucker as that of Cain's high school boyfriend. Her song 'A House In Nebraska' was reportedly written about him.
In a different post, Cain has announced the Willoughby Tucker Forever tour in Europe and North America to support the album.

No Irish date is featured, but the singer has hinted more dates might be added. "(I)f you don’t see your city…. gimme a minute ;)" she wrote.
Earlier this year, Cain faced backlash from right-wing groups in the US after expressing sympathy for the alleged UnitedHealthcare CEO shooter Luigi Mangione.
She took to social media to respond to the backlash. "The healthcare system has fucked each and every member of my family in a different way at one point or another, as is the case with pretty much every family in this scorched earth nation," read part of her message.
Ethel Cain garnered attention with the release of three EPs between 2019 and 2021. She then released her debut album, 2022's Preacher's Daughter, to critical acclaim.
The vinyl version of her debut album will be released for the first time on April 4.
