Eva Coyle has just announced a Dublin gig this month along with two other supporting acts.
The gig takes place on August 14 in Whelan’s upstairs venue as part of a small Irish tour supporting Coyle’s debut EP Feels Like Rain. She beautifully melds folk and blues together creating a sad, soulful melody. Check out a track from her EP below:
Coyle will be joined by Hoodman Blind, a trio of musicians from Limerick. The group performs sweet harmonies with an interesting combination of a fiddle, button accordion and harp. While they’re deeply rooted in traditional Irish music, they’re also heavily influenced by Finnish and Swedish folk. They released their debut self-titled EP this year. Additionally, Swedish folk dancer and singer Jonas Jansson will be opening for the gig. For over 30 years, Jansson has wrote everything from pop to metal in his musical career. He released his newest album, Bring Me Water, this year. Give a song from the record a listen below:
