Now if this was by anyone else we’d cut it a bit more slack, but we know Mr. Jones can do better. Despite a touching naiveté in both lyric and melody, the lush production doesn’t fit the bill and we end up with a nice cup of tea with far too many sugars. It must annoy the hell out of him that we liked him more when he was nuts.
