‘Black Hyena’ is taken from the Everything Everything’s most recent LP, which arrived back in September.
Following the release of their fifth album RE-ANIMATOR in September 2020, Everything Everything are back with a new music video for 'Black Hyena'.
The video stars a skateboarding zombie and is set in a dimly-lit car park at night, with Jonathan Higgs and Kit Monteith directing the spooky visuals.
“Something has risen and lives again. Witness the re-animation of a troubled soul,” Higgs said of the video.
Over the last decade, the Manchester alt-pop band have dropped early singles ‘MY KZ UR BF’ and ‘Photoshop Handsome’, followed by second album Arc in 2013, featuring tracks ‘Cough Cough’ and ‘Kemosabe’.
The band then made major progress on 2015’s Get To Heaven, with the likes of ‘Distant Past’, ‘Spring / Summer / Winter / Dread’ and ‘No Reptiles’ becoming instant fan favourites. They furthered their quirky alternative brand of art-pop on their last album, 2017’s A Fever Dream.

“To be on our fifth album and discussing a legacy would have seemed absurd, not that long ago," Pritchard said. "But it's something I'm really proud of.”
