Friday night promises to be something different entirely, with a select number of acts taking the spotlight – all the better to concentrate the good vibes on a couple of key areas. While Body and Soul, an expanded Trailer Park, Jerry Fish's new Electric Sideshow stage, Salty Dog and Mindfield will all be operating as normal, there will otherwise be a very strong emphasis on the main stage.
“We really want it to be a party on Friday night,” Melvin Benn tells Hot Press, "with Fatboy Slim leading the way." Others lined up for the opening salvo include My Bloody Valentine, Miles Kane and Wu Tang Clan.
In addition, Giorgio Moroder will give the night’s sole performance in the Electric Arena, giving everyone an opportunity to party on down, with their best dance moves on display. Here are the runners and riders:
