The first single taken from Dream Catcher gets a suitably impressive promo
hotpress.com is delighted to present the first look at the video for Jack O'Rourke's 'On The Downlow'.
With an opening line that deserves recognition among the finest lyrics written in this country in many a year – "If masculinity's your currency, then why you feeling short of change?" – the song is the first single from Jack's excellent LP Dream Catcher, out now.
"I wanted to create an updated version of 'I Drove All Night'-era Roy Orbison", says Jack of the track – and on that front he's well and truly nailed it.
A suitably all-singing all-dancing promo accompanies the tune. The video is directed by Barra Vernon, featuring choreography by Megan Blythe and sterling performances by dancers Philip O' Callaghan and Lisa Hayes.
