eyejust has shared a new single, 'feel like u,' ahead of his headline show at Dublin's The Grand Social on Thursday, March 6.

SELL EVERYTHING, Mac Steady, and Kapayja will feature in the upcoming gig as special guests.

'feel like u' is a fast-paced yet gloomy track blending indie rock and dream pop elements.

A Cure-style guitar riff, a looped robotic vocal, bass, and bedroom rock drums provide the base for Clarke's slightly distorted, compressed vocals.

The song's lyrics revolve around dealing with a monster inside your body: "(...) the beast inside, yeah, he’s always winning / And his pockets are red and his fingers are long / He’s stuck in my head and he breathes through my lungs."

In the chorus, Clarke directly addresses this dark being: "I didn't feel like you, I was different then," he sings, reminiscing of past times.

eyejust is the solo project of producer and multi-instrumentalist David Clarke, with a line-up of six band members from Blessington, Co. Wicklow. Other releases from him include 2024's 'sick n scared' and 'i break my promises.'
