The legendary Americans will be kicking considerable ass next June
Having teased their return online, funky San Franciscans Faith No More have confirmed that they're headlining Sunstroke, an alternative rock weekender taking place on June 13 and 14 at Punchestown Racecourse.
Among those joining them will be Deftones, The Jesus & Mary Chain, Gojira, Killing Joke, Black Veil Brides, Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, Neck Deep, Bowling For Soup, The Hu, Refused, At The Gates, Helmet, Pup, While She Sleeps, Skindred, Northlane, Fangclub, Dinosaur Pile-Up, The Scratch, Loathe, Bitch Falcon, Paranoid Visions, John, Thumper, Hot Milk, Vulpynes, Senzar, Tempt, Wargasm, Dead Label, Greyface, Chaos 8, Slyrydes and lots more to be announced.
Faith No More last gigged extensively in 2015 when they hit the road in support of their Sol Invictus album. Ahead of that they'd taken a six-year career break, so it's definitely a case of catch the Californians while you can.
It's the reactivation of the previous Sunstroke festival, also promoted by MCD, which took place in Dalymount Park and was headlined in 1993 by Mike Patton & Co. who were supported on that occasion by Belly, Sonic Youth, Sugar, The Disposable Heroes Of Hiphoprisy and The Golden Horde. Which was quite the line-up!
Early Bird Weekend tickets for the 2020 bash priced €129.50 or €159.50 with camping go on sale on Tuesday December 3 at 9am.
