Following Eve Clague's stellar set last night, we're delighted to announce Faraway Martin as the latest act on the Hot Press Lockdown Sessions – performing live on the Hot Press Instagram tonight, May 7, at 7.30pm.

Mayo singer-songwriter Faraway Martin is fast becoming one of the most hotly tipped talents in Irish music – clocking up support slots for Boyce Avenue and Bazzi in his adopted home of Qatar, as well as opening for Aslan, Mundy and Hermitage Green here in Ireland.

Last month, Faraway Martin released 'The Lights Turn On' – the first single from his highly anticipated debut EP, which is scheduled for release later this year. After the current coronavirus restrictions are lifted, he plans to celebrate the release with a live performance, following lauded previous appearances at Whelan's, The Workman's Club and Róisín Dubh.

Throughout the Lockdown Sessions, our star-studded line-up will be taking over the Hot Press Instagram account (@hotpressmagazine), and live-streaming performances from their homes around the world directly to your phone.
