Father John Misty has announced a string of shows in Dublin’s National Museum of Ireland, as part of the Wider Than Pictures concert series, on August 24, Belfast's Ulster Hall on August 25 and Cork’s City Hall on August 26.
The announcement accompanies the release of Josh Tillman’ sixth Father John Misty album Mahashmashana, produced by himself and Drew Erickson. The record was rated a 8/10 by Hot Press, writing that it sees the musician “doing what he does best [...] ; welding clever lyrics to orchestral ‘70s-inspired soft rock.”
It features eight songs across 50 minutes and includes the singles ‘I Guess Time Makes Fools of Us All’, ‘She Cleans Up’, ‘Screamland’, and ‘Josh Tillman and The Accidental Dose’. The latter two were mixed by BJ Burton.
Recently, the singer released the compilation Greatish Hits: I Followed My Dreams and My Dreams Said To Crawl, a career-spanning collection of songs taken from his five acclaimed records, marking the first appearance of the hit single ‘Real Love Baby’ on an album release.

The musician went on to play a sold-out show at Hammersmith Apollo in early 2023 before returning a couple of months later to perform the songs of Scott Walker at the Barbican accompanied by Jules Buckley and the BBC Symphony Orchestra.
