Limerick’s favourite experimental music festival is coming to the big smoke before heading south for a rollicking hometown gig.
Féile na Gréine, Ireland’s premier festival for emerging and experimental music, have announced a couple fundraiser gigs in Dublin and Limerick before their lauded festival returns to Limerick City from 23-25 August.
On Thursday, 25 July, Féile na Gréine descends on The Button Factory’s Crowbar Terrace with rousing performances from Post Punk Podge & The Technohippies, Nashpaints and Aoife Wolf. Doors open at 7 pm. For Dublin tickets, see here.
Then on Friday, 26 July, the festival returns to Limerick for a hometown fundraiser in Pharmacia with Casavettes, Theatre, Péist and DOGWIN. Doors at 8pm. For Limerick tickets, see here.

The annual music festival got its start in 2018 and was organised by volunteers and friends who wanted to transform Limerick City into a stage. Now, one weekend every August, they host the best exciting, emerging and experimental artists from around Ireland. It became a unique festival in comparison to its larger peers, like EP or ATN, for its strongly-held DIY spirit, a mission to pay artists fair wages, celebrate and uplift the Limerick community, open its doors to all and, most of all, it’s free to all festival goers.
“We believe that music should be accessible to anyone curious enough to seek it out, which is why we keep all events at our festival free,” their website reads. “It is a journey and everyone is invited.”
