Jay’s debut on Rob Paine’s label features his usual dub influenced sub-basslines and layered percussion, but the wiry sounds and trippy squelches on ‘Bass To Write Mom About’ and ‘Robocop Has A Fever’ sound like they have as much in common with Rolando as they do with King Tubby.
