I've just arrived at my studio in Dublin city centre. I’m recording vocals today for a new drama score I’m working on that will air mid-April.

First gig you played?
Howth GAA club (14-year olds with guitars) and Fibber McGee’s, Parnell Street (DJ).
Most memorable gig?
I was lucky enough to go on tour with Portishead for a few dates across Australia. I watched their entire show every night. Stunning.

What has been the most ‘pinch me’ moment of your career so far? Playing Glastonbury.
Most embarrassing thing you’ve done either drunk or sober?
I accidentally hit the wrong button during a live show at Electric Picnic. The whole thing ground to a halt. I had an orchestra on stage with me. Mortifying. Thankfully my friend Loah was singing on that track, handled it like the pro she is and we got through it!
What shite jobs have you had in the past?
I worked as a door-to-door salesman selling pizza coupons on my J1. I lasted two days.
Last record you bought, borrowed, or blagged?
My friend Ross recently bought me a lovely copy of Music For 18 Musicians by Steve Reich.

Who’d be in your dream band line-up?
Sonic Youth, John Coltrane, A Tribe Called Quest, Congo Natty.
Sexiest musician on the planet?
Kim Gordon.
What song would you have played at your funeral?
‘Java’ by Agustus Pablo.
