The Sam Bennet-directed video for ‘A Concert Six Months From Now’ features Finneas criss-crossing through Los Angeles’ famous Hollywood Bowl venue. The song is a vulnerable exploration of heartbreak and the ever-present connection with an ex.
“If I could see the future / I never would believe her / Falling in and out of love and falling in again / We were never any good at being friends,” the Billie Eilish collaborator sings in the catchy chorus.

The brand new release follows up the producer’s recent singles ‘American Cliché,’ and ‘What They’ll Say About Us,’ which dropped in February this year. He also collaborated with Ashe on ‘Till Forever Falls Apart’ in March. Finneas co-wrote and produced Happier Than Ever with Billie Eilish, his sister and frequent collaborator.
The songwriter, whose full name is Finneas O’Connell, featured in the music video for James Blake’s new single ‘Say What You Will’ which is taken from his upcoming album, Friends That Break Your Heart.
Optimist will follow up Finneas’ 7-track EP, Blood Harmony which was released in 2019. The 24-year old released a deluxe version of the EP in 2020. He was also recently unveiled as the world’s number one songwriter on Spotify in 2020.
