To cap off the weekend, we're delighted to present another extra special double-headliner – featuring two thrilling Irish acts. Tonight, March 29, First Day Lions (19:30 GMT) and The Sei (20:30) will be performing live from Dublin for the Hot Press Lockdown Sessions, brought to you by the rebel-hearted legends from Grace O'Malley Whiskey.

Helmed by childhood friends Adam Cunningham and Adrian Rabbitte, indie-rock outfit First Day Lions revel in a sound that is simultaneously fresh and nostalgic – taking inspiration from the legendary likes of Queen, Pink Floyd and The Beatles. Following the release of their acclaimed debut album TIME back in November, as well as high profile support slots for Aslan and Paddy Casey, 2020 is gearing up to be another landmark year for the band.

Taking the stage after First Day Lions is stunning electronica project The Sei – made up of Irish singer/composer Stace Gill, with production by Ross Dowling aka DOS. Originally emerging as Dublin-based band OCHO, The Sei have built up a formidable reputation on the back of ambient compositions 'Metroma' and 'Sentient', well as an unforgettable collaboration with Daithí, 'In My Darkest Moments'. Earlier this month, The Sei and regular collaborator Maria Nilsson Waller teamed up to present The River at the Project Arts Centre – a large-scale dance piece performed by 20 women from Sheriff Street and Ballybough.

In the face of gig cancellations and restrictions, the Hot Press Lockdown Sessions, brought to you by Grace O'Malley Whiskey, allows you to enjoy live performances of your favourite Irish artists, from the safety and comfort of your home.
