Blue comes with nine extra tracks, including the likes of ‘Blackbird’ and ‘Glass Onion’, and the recently released ‘Now And then’ – adding up for a total of 21 new additions to the original records.
Altogether the collection contains 75 tracks, as well as a booklet with new sleeve notes by journalist and author John Harris – culminating in a joyous celebration of the Beatles’ unmatched legacy.
A song 45 years in the making, The Beatles released ‘Now And Then’ last week, marking what has been dubbed as the last new release from the band.
A demo of the track was written and sung by John Lennon in 1978, and has since been developed and worked on by Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr, over the years, with McCartney and Starr finishing it across 2023.
‘Now And Then’ features all four Beatles on the song credits, and has been billed as their ‘final song’ during the band’s new short film, Now And Then - The Last Beatles Song.
Earlier this week, The Official Charts Company confirmed that the track is likely to be the band's first Number 1 in 54 years – since 'The Ballad of John and Yoko' in 1969.
