Springsteen's album Western Stars takes on a life of its own in his new concert film.
Bruce Springsteen follows the great success of his latest album Western Stars up with an accompanying concert film. The trailer shows the legendary musician open up about the making of the record and sees him perform the songs in a century-old barn.
The movie will feature a live show of the whole album as well as behind-the-scenes footage and interviews. It was directed by Thom Zimny - who was also in charge of Springsteen's Broadway film - and The Boss himself.
As the trailer shows, Springsteen will be joined on stage by his wife Patti Scialfa. We even see an old 90s recording of the two kissing.
"We all have our broken pieces. Emotionally, spiritually. In this life, nobody gets away unhurt. We're always trying to find somebody whose broken pieces fit with our broken pieces and something whole emerges", we hear Springsteen say.
He also describes the special atmosphere that was created during the concert: "A certain kind of magic took place, the music began to take on a life of its own."
