“A door opens, another closes. It’s time to say goodbye to this chapter of Fizz,” the group wrote.
Indie-pop supergroup Fizz - which comprises Dublin singer-songwriter Orla Gartland, Dodie, Greta Isaac and Martin Luke Brown - have announced that they will bid each other farewell to focus on their solo projects and careers.
Taking to Instagram, the group expressed their gratitude, thanking their dedicated fan base and reminiscing on the wild ride the quartet have been on since joining forces nearly a year ago.

“Just over 1 year ago we announced the arrival of our band & ever since have had an absolute rollercoaster of a time releasing our album & building this world with you,” Fizz said via Instagram. “From the very beginning we imagined a cult-like following for our band; for the music & shows to be a safe place for dreaming, a total escape.

“Looking out on every single crowd on our tour this year gave us the exact feeling we hoped for. Thank you all so much for embracing our band - Fizz is what it is because of you.”
The band also announced an acoustic show in London next week, on 8th July, which they call “a party to celebrate & send off” their debut album The Secret to Life. Tickets went on sale this morning via Dice, and sold out within an hour.
The indie-pop supergroup explained the reason for their separation, commenting: “It’s time for us 4 to return to our solo projects & other adventures!
“No one knows what lies ahead, maybe someday we’ll find our way back to Fizzville. In the meantime - keep the lights on for us.”
