The acclaimed singer-songwriter reveals the newest video for her January mixtape Caprisongs, and it’s a convivial watch.
FKA twigs released the latest in a series of creative visuals for her mixtape. The video for 'Pamplemousse,’ directed by Aidan Zamiri and Yuma Burgess, displays a series of vibrant photographs and animations of the singer set in stop-motion pace.
The UK singer-songwriter unleashed her mixtape earlier this year, with videos already made for several tracks like ‘Papi Bones,’ ‘Honda’ and ‘Thank You Song.’
‘Pamplemousse’ is the sixth track on Caprisongs – a short and electric track about fun memories shared with friends. The collection of songs is structured as a real mixtape, including the sounds of a cassette player clicking on and off and featuring artist collabs from The Weeknd to Jorja Smith.
FKA twigs’ mixtape sees her branch out into eclectic territory, drenched in Afrobeats, choral compositions and bursts of rapping. It’s joyous and addictive, a project which the singer described as, “A journey back to myself through my amazing collaborators and friends.”
She shared the video for ‘Pamplemousse’ on Twitter alongside the caption, “Me and the girls with our phones out.”

The video follows the visual for single ‘Killer,’ released in July and debuted during the FKA twigs' Tiny Desk (Home) Concert earlier this year. She’s recently been busy making her acting debut alongside Bill Skarsgård in The Crow, filming now in Prague, directed by Rupert Sanders.
