Foals announce the first portion of their dual album will launch March 8.
After more than a decade in the industry, Foals has taken on their most ambitious project to date — two separate albums that share a title, themes and artwork. Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost — Part 1 is set for release on March 8, with Part 2 set for release in the fall.
The England-based rock band, comprised of frontman Yannis Philippakis, Jimmy Smith (guitar), Jack Bevan (drums) and Edwin Congreave (keys), has also announced a number of major summer festival dates across the UK and Ireland, including a show at Trinity College on July 2.
Speaking of the albums, Philippakis said, “They’re two halves of the same locket. They can be listened to and appreciated individually, but fundamentally, they are companion pieces.”
The 20 tracks that make up the two albums can’t be confined to a single genre as they span the musical spectrum. Breaking out of traditional pop, the songs mark a new chapter in the Foals’ career.
