Larkin drew inspiration from Irish folklore and mythology in her most recent album, Notes For A Maiden Warrior.
Dani Larkin has announced an Irish tour following the release of her newest single ‘David,’– out January 30.
The tour will begin on January 19 in Belfast. The singer will also hold a special London show on February 15. In the past, Larkin has collaborated with the Ulster Orchestra and RTE Concert Orchestra and toured with Snow Patrol, Declan O’Rourke, Ye Vagabonds, Lisa Hannigan, Glen Hansard and Wallis Bird.
Gary Lightbody of Snow Patrol called her “one of our greatest songwriters.”
Larkin released her debut album Notes For A Maiden Warrior in June of 2021, self-describing it as “an ancestral nod to the past, very much rooted in the present and looking to the beyond.” It earned her nominations for Best Album and Best Single at the Northern Ireland Music Prize, as well as Best Emerging Artist at the RTE Folk Awards. She has toured the album across North America, Australia, Korea and Finland.
