Fontaines D.C add second 3 Arena date due to phenomenal demand

Tickets for Fontaine D.C's ROMANCE tour are on sale now.

Fontaines D.C. have announced a second headline show at Dublin's 3 Arena, due to phenomenal demand for Saturday, 7 December 2024.

The upcoming Dublin gigs are set to be the band's biggest hometown performances to date, with their announcement coming after they offered up a promising first taste of their upcoming album ROMANCE last week - in the form of lead single 'Starburster'.

Joining them across the UK and Ireland are London outfit Sorry.

The Grammy-nominated band are set to release the James Ford-produced ROMANCE on August 23, via XL Recordings. It follows the chart-topping 2022 album Skinty Fia.

"We’ve always had this sense of idealism and romance," bassist Conor Deegan says of the new album title. "Each album gets further away from observing that through the lens of Ireland, as directly as (Mercury Prize-nominated debut) Dogrel. The second album (the GRAMMY-nominated A Hero’s Death) is about that detachment, and the third (Skinty Fia) is about Irishness dislocated in the diaspora. Now we look to where and what else there is to be romantic about.”

“We say things on this record we’ve wanted to say for a long time," vocalist Grian Chatten adds.
