Dublin band announce Vicar Street date
Over the last year, Fontaines D.C. have released four critically acclaimed AA side singles, all of which garnered support and have set the Dublin punk band up as one of the most exciting names in music. They have toured sold-out shows across Ireland, the UK and Europe, and are set to embark on a full world tour throughout 2019. Today, the band announce a date at Dublin’s Vicar Street.
Just last month, Fontaines announced their highly-anticipated debut album, Dogrel, which is slated for release on April 12, 2019 via Partisan Records. Alongside the announcement of their new album, the band also shared a new video (directed by Molly Keane) for the album opener, 'Big' - a typically blistering 1 minute 45 second number.

Speaking about the video, the band said, "we felt that great ambition was a sickness, and we got Grian's 11 year next-door neighbour to say it to you all because he's got the presence of a hundred frontmen."
They’ll play Vicar Street, the fabled Dublin venue December 7, 2019. It will be their sole Dublin gig this year. Tickets cost €26 inclusive of booking fee and go on sale Friday at 9am.
