The current Hot Press cover stars are also leading the race for the top spot on the Irish charts.
Following the release of their acclaimed second album, A Hero's Death, last week, Fontaines D.C. are currently positioned at No.1 on the UK midweek albums chart – fighting off tough competition from Taylor Swift's Folklore, which sits at No.2.
The Dublin band, who grace the cover of our current issue of Hot Press, are also battling The Coronas, our other double cover stars, for the top spot on the Official Irish Charts – with Fontaines D.C. currently leading the race by 350 chart sales.
A Hero's Death is already Ireland's fastest vinyl seller of the year, based off its pre-orders and sales across the weekend. Their debut album, Dogrel, peaked a No.4 last year.
On Sunday, Fontaines D.C. celebrated the release of their new album with a live-streamed performance, A Night At Montrose, Dublin, during which they performed A Hero's Death in its entirety. The performance is available to view below, until tomorrow night:
