Fontaines D.C. have put out a scintillating cover of Bring Me The Horizon’s ‘Can You Feel My Heart’ mixed with Nirvana’s ‘Heart-Shaped Box’.

They performed the tune for triple j’s Like A Version Series, with the band visiting the studio during their recent Australian tour.

In this version of Bring Me the Horizon’s 2013 classic, the Dubliners leave off the track’s original use of heavy guitars and heavy sounds for a synth-y, dreamy melody – before offering a nod to Nirvana’s ‘Heart-Shaped Box’ towards the bridge.

“It was Grian [Chatten, vocalist]’s idea initially,” guitarist Conor Curley told Kerrang!. “I think the sound of that song, the kind of electronic elements and just the general vibe reflects stuff we were touching on our last album Romance, so it kind of seemed like a good place to start. And it’s a moody, beautiful song.”
