Fontaines D.C are set to take to the stage in Wales on July 30 to the 10,000 capacity, Cardiff Castle. They will be joined by English spoken word performer and playwright Kae Tempest as well as post-punk rock band High Vis.
The alt-rockers will be following in the footsteps of bands such as Queen, IDLES and Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds who have all headlined the venue.
The announcement comes after Fontaines D.C sold out Finsbury Park. Their biggest headline show to date, the London show features Amyl and The Sniffers and fellow Irishmen Kneecap. A month later the band will headline Wythenshawe Park in Manchester on August 15, where they will be joined by English Teacher and Kneecap.
Closer to home, the band are playing two sold out dates in the 3Arena on December 6 and 7.
