Originally only released as a limited edition LP for Record Store Day 2021, Fontaines D.C. have now made the album available to all streaming platforms.
Fontaines D.C. have made their Live At Kilmainham Gaol LP available online to celebrate their upcoming Other Voices performance this weekend.
Originally only available in vinyl format, the record features recordings from the group's performance at Other Voices: Courage in 2020.
Speaking about the band's Kilmainham Gaol show, Other Voices Founder Philip King said: “On July 14th last a remarkable gig took place behind the walls of Kilmainham at the height of lockdown as part of the Other Voices: Courage series. On that evening, Fontaines D.C. played music their about to be released A Hero's Death."
The online release celebrates the post-punk outfit return to Other Voices, as the 20th anniversary of the festival will take place in Dingle from November 25–28. John Grant, Kay Young, Houseplants, and Gemma Dunleavy will be taking the stage alongside the five-piece band.
In the past few years, the Dublin-based group has quickly become one of Irelands most lauded alternative rock bands. They released their debut album Dogrel in 2019 to rave reviews, but things really took off with their Grammy-nominated sophomore album A Hero's Death.
