Sabrina Carpenter takes the top spot on the Irish Albums Chart with Short n' Sweet – while Fontaines D.C.'s Romance debuts at No.1 on the Independent Chart.
It's been a dramatic week on the Irish charts, following the release of both Fontaines D.C.'s Romance and Sabrina Carpenter's Short n' Sweet last Friday, and Tuesday's news of Oasis's upcoming reunion tour sparking a massive surge of renewed interest in the band.
It has now been confirmed that Sabrina has scored the top spot on the Irish Albums Chart, followed by Fontaines D.C. at No.2. Oasis, meanwhile, have seen several of their albums jump up the chart: including their 2010 compilation Time Flies at No.3, 1995's (What's the Story) Morning Glory? at No.6, and 1994's Definitely Maybe at No.7.
Over on the Independent Chart, Fontaines D.C. claim the No.1 position with Romance, while KNEECAP hold onto their spot at No.2 with Fine. The late Mark Lanegan also features at No.16 with Bubblegum, following the release of a special 20th anniversary edition of the album.
Sabrina Carpenter claims an Irish chart double, by also scoring a No.1 on the Irish Singles Chart, with her latest single 'Taste' – while also occupying the No. 2 and No.9 spots with 'Please Please Please' and 'Bed Chem' respectively.
Oasis claim three places in the Top 20 of the Irish Singles Chart, with 'Don't Look Back In Anger' at No.14, 'Wonderwall' at No.15, and 'Live Forever' at No.17.
