The song will appear on their just-announced album 'Medicine at Midnight', which is scheduled for release on February 5, 2021 via Roswell Records/RCA.
Foo Fighters premiered their brand new, surprisingly funky, song 'Shame Shame' on Saturday Night Live yesterday - hosted by comedian Dave Chappelle.
The performance marked the debut of their latest track, which features on their forthcoming album Medicine at Midnight.
The band also performed their 2002 hit 'Times Like These' from their One by One album on last night’s show.
The Dave Grohl-led group performed just hours after former vice president Joe Biden defeated incumbent Donald Trump to become the next president of the United States.
The verses of 'Shame Shame' have an uncharacteristic stop/start beat, with Grohl’s vocals evincing a hint of soul, while the restrained chorus references “another season of loneliness” and burying emotions “beneath a mountain of emptiness.”

Foo Fighters were joined on-stage by two of the three female backing vocalists who joined the band on tour in support of the 2017 album Concrete and Gold.
The nine-song Medicine at Midnight was recorded at a 1940s-era house in the Encino neighborhood of Los Angeles and was originally intended for release late this year.
Their album plans and Foo Fighters 25th anniversary tour were cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Medicine at Midnight was produced by Greg Kurstin and Foo Fighters, engineered by Darrell Thorp and mixed by Mark “Spike” Stent, and features nine songs.
Foo Fighters released their 6-track 00959525 EP back in January, which features two live recordings from 1995.
Recently, the group performed on a livestream tribute for the late Tom Petty.
