Yesterday Foo Fighters put on a tribute performance at Kia Forum in Los Angeles in memory of their beloved drummer Taylor Hawkins.
This show marks the second tribute that the Foos have hosted in the name of Hawkins, with the first taking place on the 3rd of September at London's Wembley Stadium. The London gig featured a starstruck lineup, with legends such as Paul McCartney, Liam Gallagher and Josh Homme gracing the stage to honour their dear friend. Now the Foo Fighters have taken it back to Hawkins' home state of California, a mere 50 miles away from Laguna Beach where Hawkins first started reaching for the stars.
Special guests for the Los Angeles leg of Hawkin's tribute concert included renowned artists such as Miley Cyrus, Stewart Copeland, Alanis Morissette, Pink, Brian May and Roger Taylor of Queen, Travis Barker, Mark Ronson and countless others. The performance clocked in at a total of around six hours.
Frontman Dave Grohl opened the show by expressing how these performances "honored the fact that this many people connected through one person [Hawkins]".

One highlight of the show came from Alanis Morissette, who had Hawkins in her band as the drummer before he eventually joined Foo Fighters. She graced the stage with a show-stopping rendition of 'You Oughta Know' featuring the Foos and drummer Chad Smith of Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Proceeds from both tribute shows will go towards the charities Music Support and MusiCares, chosen by the Hawkins family.
