The self-titled debut album from For Those I Love will arrive early next year on September Recordings.
David Balfe, the 29 year old producer and brainchild behind For Those I Love, has released a remix of his debut single 'I Have a Love' from XL-signed brothers Tom and Ed Russell (Overmono).
The remixed version adds euphoric, rave-indebted synths to the poetic, vulnerable lyricism that had already marked out the original track as a musical highlight of the year on its release.
Balfe recently performed live for the first time ever under the For Those I Love moniker on Later... with Jools Holland, delivering an emotional performance that trended on Twitter afterwards.
For Those I Love has also been announced to perform on the new season of Other Voices 'Bringing It All Back Home', a five day digital festival from St. James' Church in Dingle, Co.Kerry in December.
For Those I Love released two singles in 2020 - 'Top Scheme' and 'I Have a Love' - both with self-directed videos from Balfe.

'Top Scheme' featured a powerful and poignant visual essay that viscerally tackles various social issues in Ireland, such as sexism, classism, and the prison industrial complex.
Balfe first embarked on music and songwriting Fas a chance to write frankly about the struggles he and his friends faced while growing up in north Dublin.
For Those I Love documents the harsh realities of a working class upbringing in Ireland's all-too-often polarised society.
The forthcoming album pays tribute to Dave’s best friend and former bandmate, Paul Curran, who passed away in 2018.
Following Paul’s tragic death, Dave locked himself away in his home studio and ultimately recorded over 76 songs that would eventually be condensed down to form the basis of his debut album.
The resulting record is an incredibly beautiful, raw and uncompromising 9-track project addressing grief and catharsis in the most vulnerable way possible.
Writing about the debut single, Balfe said:

"The art is all we ever had. The books, the tunes, the films. Since we were kids it was the foundation of our love. It was the path towards hope. Ya grow older and feel as cold as ya did when you were hiding from the brutality of the world. And the only peace you find is in the songs you make with your mates.
"When it happened, and life froze over, the only way out was through the songs. How else can I show my love, how else can I remember what we had and what we made, but through the art itself.
I have a love,
And it never fades,
And neither will you, Paul"
