Former My Chemical Romance drummer Bob Bryar dies at age 44
The former My Chemical Romance drummer was found dead in his home in Tennessee
Former drummer of My Chemical Romance and former sound engineer for The Used Bob Bryar has passed away in his home at age 44.
The police have confirmed that that there is no foul play suspected in his death, with personal possessions in untouched condition.
Bryar retired from being a drummer in 2014, and became a real estate agent. He later auctioned off a drum kit that he had used during his tenure in MCR to raise money for an animal adoption centre in Williamson County, Tennessee.
Following struggles with his mental health, the drummer was at the centre of controversy for posting offensive messages on X, formerly known as Twitter, including racist and transphobic tweets that have resurfaced following his death.
Bryar was a part of MCR in 2004 before his departure in 2010, playing the drums for the band's most popular album Welcome to The Black Parade.
A spokesperson for My Chemical Romance issued a statement saying that, "The band asks for your patience and understanding as they process the news of Bob’s passing." Bryar was the longest tenured drummer for the band.
