Four Tet promises new album this year
The UK producer says that he's "been making loads of music"
Electronic musician Four Tet announced that he will release a new album later this year in a tweet posted less than an hour ago.
He thanked his fans for appreciating his new song "Two Thousand And Seventeen", which premiered yesterday on BBC Radio 1.
The tweet can be seen below:
Wow thanks for all the love on the new tune. Have been making loads of music. New album almost ready and coming this year.
— Four Tet (@FourTet) July 5, 2017
In another tweet he affirmed his indie credentials, saying "I do this on my own. No PR pluggers marketing label etc. Shouts to everyone supporting my music and showing love for it."
Four Tet, also known as Kieran Hebden, made the news in February when he created a public Spotify playlist (which can be accessed here: https://tinyurl.com/ycjkgzbv) highlighting musicians from countries covered by US President Donald Trump's 'Muslim ban'.
The playlist has since been added to and used to host Hebden's new song.
"Two Thousand And Seventeen" can be heard below:
