Northern Ireland musician Foy Vance has announced a series of shows at the Grand Opera House in Belfast from November 5th to 9th, 2024
Foy Vance is set to play the Grand Opera House from November 5th to 9th, 2024. These performances will feature a set from a guest local comedian each night, along with an all-request set by Vance, chosen by the audience.
Influenced by music from the Southern United States, Vance released his debut album, Hope, in 2007. His second LP, Joy of Nothing, released in 2013 on Glassnote Records, earned him further critical praise and invitations to tour with artists such as Ed Sheeran, Bonnie Raitt, and Sir Elton John.
As the second artist signed to Gingerbread Man Records, Ed Sheeran's label division within Atlantic Records, Vance continued to grow in popularity. His debut album with the label, The Wild Swan, was executive produced by Sir Elton John and released in 2016. In 2019, Vance released two albums, From Muscle Shoals and To Memphis.
Vance's 2021 album, Signs Of Life, marked another milestone in his career. This album, written and primarily performed by Vance himself, garnered global recognition and reinforced his status as a powerful songwriter. Last year, Vance embarked on his Regarding The Joy of Nothing Tour across the US, UK, and Australia, celebrating the 10-year anniversary of the album. This year, he will once again hit the road in Europe and Scandinavia to play his music to audiences worldwide.
