Frankie Boyle confirms the Dublin Olympia
Outrage and offence will doubtless accompany his visit next March.
Those who like to take gratuitous offence will be delighted to hear that Frankie Boyle is bringing his Hurt Like You’ve Never Been Loved tour to Dublin’s Olympia Theatre on March 25.
“Frankie,” we’re told, “has written this new set not to tour, but as a response to Kendrick Lamar’s last album. After this stand-up performance the ball will very much be in Kendrick’s court.”
Tickets priced €33.50 and €35.50 go on sale on Friday November 20.
The Scot caused a major rumpus in August when there was widespread objecting to his playing at the West Belfast Féile. Future Labour Mairia Cahill was sent to the gig by the Belfast Telegraph who afterwards ran with the headline: “Frankie Boyle insults disabled and laughs at rape, but could he summon up the courage to mock the IRA? Of course not.”
