Holly Johnson, former lead singer of the 80's band Frankie Goes to Hollywood, has announced a show at Dublin’s Vicar Street on September 25, 2025. The concert is part of his 'Welcome to the Pleasuredome 40th Anniversary Tour'.
The tour marks 40 years since the release of synth-pop pioneers Frankie Goes to Hollywood’s debut album, Welcome to the Pleasuredome, which was released on October 29, 1984 through ZTT Records.
Widely recognised as one of the landmark LPs of the decade, it featured hits such as 'Relax', 'Two Tribes', and 'The Power of Love'.
The band formed in Liverpool in 1980 and was comprised of Holly Johnson alongside Paul Rutherford, Mark O'Toole, Brian Nash, and Peter Gill. The outfit disbanded in April 1987.
