Franz Ferdinand are the latest band to be added to Singular Artists' Wider Than Pictures series, which will take place at the National Museum of Ireland, Collins Barracks in August.
The sixth headline gig to be announced for 2023 is slated for Sunday, 27th August 2023 with very special guests Pillow Queens.
Fresh off the back of their ‘Hits To The Head’ world tour featuring a 20 track greatest hits collection showcasing the band’s successful career to date; Franz Ferdinand are now announcing a special outdoor concert in Ireland.
The Scottish rock outfit released Hits To The Head in 2022 via Domino Records, who signed the band in 2003. Their second single ‘Take Me Out’ exploded onto the international stage, putting the band firmly on the global map, and was a precursor to their eponymous debut album which went on to sell nearly four million copies worldwide.
Supporting Franz Ferdinand are Dublin quartet Pillow Queens - Sarah Corcoran, Pam Connolly, Cathy McGuinness and Rachel Lyons. All in different bands when they met, they instantly hit it off and shared the same musical vision.

The quartet made waves with the release of their debut album In Waiting in 2020, which was Choice Music Prize nominated. The project was followed after the pandemic by Leave The Light On in 2022, shared via Royal Mountain Records and also Choice Music Prize nominated.
They toured all over the world in 2022, appearing on James Corden's Late Late Show in the US and selling out two shows in Vicar Street in October of that year. Just last weekend, the indie four-piece performed at St. Patrick's Day festival on Saturday at Collins' Barracks.
