Northern Irish/Dutch two-piece Fräulein kick off 2024 with a high-spirited, drum-laden track about looking after one's mental health.
Northern Irish/Dutch two-piece Fräulein have announced the release of their latest single ‘Wait and See’ today via Submarine Cat Records. Their first release of the year, ‘Wait and See’ involves “how we manage symptoms of anxiety instead of treating the cause of our discomfort,” explains vocalist/guitarist Joni Samuels.
Accompanying the release is a spirited video, directed by Charlie Barclay Harris, which follows the duo around carnivalesque fairgrounds at night.
‘Wait and See’ marks a creative step forward for the duo, vacillating between their signature heavy grunge sound and “softer, intoxicating vocal melodies.”
Following the release of their Pedestal EP earlier in 2023, Fräulein garnered support from the likes of DIY Mag, The Line Of Best Fit, Clash, So Young, The Independent, Gigwise, Loud & Quiet and Radio 1 & 6 Music, all of whom laud the band’s musical prowess. The Line of Best Fit calls the act "A grunge-steeped assault on the human psyche", and DIY Mag deems their latest EP "Recalcitrant, shit-kicking, electric."
