There's a new queen in town...
As previously noted, Lisa Hannigan has rocketed straight to the top of the Irish album charts with Passenger, knocking Adele off her perch in the process. So how do the charts look as a result?
As Passenger sits pretty at #1 and Adele's 21 falls to second place, James Morrison also drops one spot to #3 with The Awakening. David Guetta's Nothing But The Beat climbs two places to #4 while Adele rounds out the top five with debut album 19.
The second highest new entry goes to Ryan Adams who returns to his Heartbreaker roots with Ashes & Fire at #7. Elsewhere there are debuts for Katherine Jenkins, Bjork, Evanescence, Jason Derulo and 90's pop sensations Steps.
With Passenger also occupying the top spot of the indie chart, it's a direct domino effect for Adele as 21 and 19 both fall one place each to #2 and #3 respectively. Villagers' Becoming A Jackal climbs up one spot to #4 while The Waterboys fall two places to #5 with An Appointment With Mr. Yeats.
