The American synth-pop group are set to perform in Dublin next week, as they embark on their upcoming European tour.
Future Islands has released a new song, 'Deep In the Night', along with a new music video.
The music video, shot in black and white film, is directed by Albert Birney and channels the live performances of the Ed Sullivan Show days. The band started teasing the single on Monday, posting a cryptic clip from the video on their Twitter with the caption "I belong to you", a repeating lyric from the track.

Their sixth and most recent album As Long As You Are released in 2020, and the new song is their first original material in more than a year, since their 2022 single 'King of Sweden'. Hot Press gave a review of the album when it was released, you can read it here.
Future Islands is set to perform in Dublin next week, 24 August, at the National Museum of Ireland, Collins Barracks as part of the Wider Than Pictures series from Singular Artists. Future Islands will be joined by Irish guests Just Mustard and Sprints.

Mick Flannery, First Aid Kit and Yungblud have also been announced as headliners for the concert series.
After visiting Dublin, Future Islands will then embark on a European tour from August to September. Their dates include a Manchester show where they will join Primal Scream in opening for Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, as they too tour Europe.
